About Abi Economics
Meet Dr Ricky Ray
Abi Economics and Dr Ricky Ray teamed-up in 2024 to offer IB students economics resources designed to engage and lift performance. Dr Ricky Ray personally writes all Abi Economics’ content. He has an honors degree from a research-intensive Australian university (Group of 8) and a PhD in economics. His research expertise is in economic development. Dr Ricky Ray has mentored PhD students’ research across trade and global health and development topics. He taught a core 2nd year microeconomics theory class with calculus for several years at a leading US university. He has also taught Business Economics to Australian MBA students. Dr Ricky Ray has experience teaching students in Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, the UK, and the USA. He has also presented research in Japan, Kenya, and Mongolia.
